I am officially off-strike. I will be back to fixing things up here. Thanks for being patient while I was away mourning the death of my laptop.
A Quick Note
Many people are having problems with the default url assigned upon registration. I am changing all blogs to username.mysticwicks.org. I will have to do this manually so if it doesn't happen right away give me a day or so and it will be fixed. I'll look into getting this done permanently so new users do not have to wait.
Those of you that had hyphens or underscores in your name have been changed. I had to remove the hyphens and underscores. Sorry! The rest of your name is the same. ex. user-name becomes username.
If you have questions feel free to contact me here or in the blog thread on mysticwicks.com
Things to know about registration
Registration is free and open to everyone. We are providing this blog community to our members as a thank you for being a part of MW. It is because of you that the community thrives. Without you, the members, the community would have no purpose. Thank you for all of the discussions both silly and serious.
There are some things you should be aware of during registration.
1. You must use a unique email address. That means if you intend to create more than one blog you have to provide a different email address for each blog.
2. We would prefer you register with your mysticwicks.com username but if you would rather have a different username we do allow it.
3. When registering there is a field that asks for the name of your blog. Choose carefully. This name will become the url to your blog.
4. When you create your blog you will be given a default url for your blog. It will be something like mysticwicks.org/u/username. If you would rather have your own subdomain please contact me. I can change your url to username.mysticwicks.org.
5. When you set up your blog you have the option to keep your blog private. If you do not do this your blog will be listed in a blog directory on mysticwicks.org. We would love to have as many public blogs as we can but we do understand if you don't want to be listed.
6. We did some testing but if you do find any errors please let us know. We will do our best to get them fixed right away.
7. If you are a subscriber at mysticwicks.com you can send us a link of any compatible skins or plugins to request installation. We will install most requests after reviewing them. The only time I can imagine denying an install request is if it was a security risk.
That's all for now. I hope you enjoy the new blog system.
